Static Progressive Serrated Hinge KitsSerrated teeth allow these hinges to be locked into virtually any position. Hinge arms are made of durable, 1/8" (3.2mm) thick aluminum attached to a plastic joint with serrated interlocking teeth. Arms are shaped to accommodate most wrist and elbow anatomy and can be bent by hand for custom fitting. Ideal for neurological and post-operative use to help serially reduce joint contractures of the wrist and elbow. Great for protective joint positioning, serial splinting, fracture bracing, post-cast removal and post-elbow or wrist arthroplasty. Kits include all the necessary nuts and screws for mounting the joint arms onto thermoplastic splints. A hex wrench is included for easy joint release and tightening for ROM positional changes. The only other tools required to make a custom splint are a screwdriver and a hole punch/drill. Thermoplastics sold separately. It is recommended that 1/8" (3.2mm) thick splinting material be used as the base splint for effective construction using these unique hinges. The Elbow Serrated Hinge Kit has two 7" (18cm) long arms. The open slots allow greater adjustability in positioning the splint. Brass thumb nuts secure easily and create a professional look. Kit includes (1) hinged joint piece, (5) thumb nuts, (5) stainless steel screws, (5) spacer washers, (1) padded hinge cover, hex wrench and instructions. The Wrist Serrated Hinge Kit has two arms measuring 3" and 5-1/4" (7.6 and 13cm) long. Kit includes (1) hinged joint piece, (5) plastic nuts, (5) stainless steel screws, (5) spacer washers, (1) padded hinge cover, hex wrench and instructions. This kit also can be used to create hinged pediatric elbow splints.
